Welcome!
Welcome to my blog! This is where I will be posting my photography, fiber projects, other artwork and other random things relating to subjects such as history. I'm working on getting an Etsy store (or something similar) set up where I will be selling some of my work.
An Italian/Irish New York native, I graduated from Winthrop University with a B.A. in Art and a minor in Art History in May 2012. I'm considering going to graduate school but am waiting until I've actually settled on what I want to study. I've taken a wide range of art classes, everything from basic 2 and 3D design to upper level classes in photography. I started taking pictures when I was very young, around the same time my grandmother taught me how to knit. The media of photography and fiber are the two that I have stayed with the most consistently and I'm currently seeing what I can do with them.
The meaning behind the name:
"Wabi-Sabi"- A Japanese aesthetic that focuses on simplicity.
"Gijutsu"- Japanese for art/craft/skill
